Size selection
A standout feature of the Trash Bin Hidee is that it is custom built to fit precisely the exact dimensions of each and every individual trash bin you have. This design guarantees a perfect snug fit for your bins, ensuring the overall smallest size possible while maximizing functionality. By doing so, it makes sure that your Hidee fits perfectly within the necessary size parameters without compromising on style or convenience.
Other enclosures available for sale typically offer their products in sizes that are simply classified as small, medium, or large. However, limiting the options to just these three standard size categories often means there will be unnecessary wasted space inside the enclosure, which can be quite frustrating. This unnecessary space ultimately removes valuable usable area outside of the enclosure as well.
With Trash Bin Hidees, our unique sizing approach means that the size is perfectly tailored based on the specific size (gallons) of each bin. As a result, each type of Classic Hidee or Brina Hidee boasts an impressive ten possible three-bin combinations! (Not just three combinations). Each Hidee is designed to fit as snugly as possible around the trash bins, ensuring they remain hidden from view while maximizing practicality.
SIDING OPTIONS
T1-11 Plywood
T1-11 is a type of plywood siding that features an exterior grade with a rough finish.
It has a rustic appearance, is inexpensive and easy to maintain.
Because of its neutral color T1-11 is perfect for staining with the available choice of colors.
Redwood
Specifically we use Redwood Construction Heart grade.
Redwood is naturally resistant to a variety of insects, destructive fungi, and even fire, due to its high tannin content, which effectively prevents the production of resin or pitch.
This material can last up to twenty years, making it a long-lasting choice for outdoor applications. Heartwood is the stronger and more durable part of the redwood tree.
Redwood Construction Heart strikes a great balance of strength, durability, and appealing natural aesthetics.
IPE
Ipe (also known as Brazilian Walnut or Brazilian Ironwood) is very dense and durable and can last as long as fifty years. Ipe is so dense, it will sink in water.
It can vary in color between yellow, darker blackish and reddish-brown hues.
Because of its natural beauty, Ipe should not be painted. Staining with CLEAR color is recommended.

Painted
We proudly use Benjamin Moore brand paint exclusively for its exceptional quality and durability. Our team meticulously applies one coat of high-quality primer followed by two coats of paint on both the inside and the outside of each enclosure. To suit your personal style and preferences, you can choose from a palette of twenty-one colors shown below.
For a nominal fee, we are more than happy to use a brand and color of paint of your choice to create a look that's uniquely yours. With so many vibrant options available, you can truly personalize your Trash Bin Hidee to match your home’s decor or express your personal style!
Stained
We exclusively utilize the top-quality Penofin Ultra-Premium Red Label translucent stain for all our projects. This exceptional stain is carefully applied not only to the outside surfaces but also generously on the inside, ensuring comprehensive protection and aesthetics. When it comes to customization, you have the option to choose from five colors, allowing you to match your enclosure perfectly with your home’s exterior and style.
For a nominal fee, we are more than happy to use a brand and color of stain that you specifically choose and love!
HARDWARE OPTIONS
HINGES
Hinges, latches, and exposed fasteners, including screws and bolts, are essential components in various applications and are available in durable stainless steel.
These fasteners not only provide the necessary strength and functionality but also come in two distinct colors: traditional stainless steel, known for its classic and neutral appearance, and black stainless steel, which offers a modern, sleek aesthetic.
Both options ensure longevity and resistance to corrosion, making them suitable for outdoor use across diverse locations.
GAS SPRINGS
Gas springs are available in two materials:
Stainless steel
Plain steel.
Stainless steel is highly recommended for applications requiring maximum corrosion resistance, particularly in harsh environments like coastal areas. Its durability translates to a longer lifespan compared to plain steel, making it a reliable choice for demanding conditions.
In contrast, plain steel offers a more budget-friendly option, though it may not withstand corrosive elements as effectively as its stainless counterpart. This makes plain steel suitable for less exposed environments where cost is a significant consideration.
CONSTRUCTION
The upper frame is crafted from durable Douglas Fir, known for its strength and aesthetic appeal. Each connection in the frame is meticulously constructed using a combination of polyurethane glue and wood screws to ensure maximum strength, stability and longevity.
On the exterior, we incorporate stainless-steel fasteners, providing not only a reliable hold but also resistance to corrosion, ensuring that the frame remains both structurally sound and visually pleasing over time.
This assembly technique contributes to a robust structure capable of withstanding the rigors of daily use.
mAXIMUM SLOPE
The slope must not exceed nine inches.
Decide where the Hidee is going to be located in your yard or on your property.
Using the OUTSIDE DIMENSIONS of the Hidee enclosure, place a chalk mark or a piece of tape on the ground that corresponds to the four corners of the structure. It's important to note that the corner that is positioned at the top of the slope should always be labeled as point “A” for easy reference.
Now, place the ends of a level on points “A” and “B”. Slowly raise the level over point “B” until it shows to be perfectly level. Using a ruler, carefully measure the distance between the ground at point “B” and the bottom of the level. Write this number down.
Next, with one end of the level still resting on point “A”, move the other end of the level to point “C”.
Again, slowly raise the level over point “C” until it displays as level. Using your ruler once more, measure the distance between the ground at point “C” and the bottom of the level. Write this number down as well.
Finally, take the same measurement between point “A” and point “D”, and don't forget to write this number down too.
Remember, none of the three measurements: B, C, or D may exceed the limit of nine inches.

Sidewalk Encroachment
Property owners can apply for a Minor Sidewalk Encroachment permit through San Francisco Public Works according to San Francisco Public Works Code, Article 15, Section 723.2, The encroachment must cover no more than 10% of the sidewalk area or 25% of its width.

WARRANTY
Trash Bin Hidee warrants all materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.
Restrictions:
Payments must be made in full.
Trash Bin Hidee’s liability under any warranty claim will not exceed the Total Price paid for the product.
The customer must make warranty claims in writing within thirty (30) days upon discovering defect or performance problem.
The product has not been modified in any manor except when normal maintenance is performed.
Product must be used for ordinary residential purposes. Rental or other commercial use is not allowed.
The Hidee has not been moved from it’s original installation location.
