  • We recommend a level surface of concrete, brick, or pavers for the best stability and longevity. If placed on bare dirt, grass, or gravel, first lay a plastic moisture barrier at least 5 mils thick to protect the wood and reduce settling.

  • Feet support the Hidee and are adjustable up to two inches. Consequently, the surface should not slope more than two inches between opposite corners; otherwise, leveling pedestals will be installed. The use of leveling pedestals raises the floor on one side. The maximum height difference from one side to the other cannot exceed nine inches. And you may wish to consider purchasing a ramp to accommodate larger slopes.

  • Yes. Unless paint or stain is specifically requested and ordered, the exterior is left unfinished by default. You may choose one of our available color options, or provide the exact brand and color you prefer to have applied.

However if you need to place your Hidee on the sidewalk in front of you home, you must obtain a Minor Sidewalk Encroachment Permit from the San Francisco Public Works department.
